RE: Support for H.R. 3359

Dear Representative Moran:

On behalf of Lions, Tigers & Bears Big Cat and Exotic Animal Sanctuary, and the hundreds of wild animals we have rescued and cared for, I whole-heartedly support H.R. 3359, the Traveling Exotic Animal Protection Act.

This bill will restrict the use of exotic and non-domesticated animals in traveling circuses and exhibitions and should be adopted as a step towards creating further wild and exotic animal protections.

There have been too many incidents that demonstrate the inability of traveling circuses, as well as private owners, to care and provide for these wild animals. As San Diego’s only big cat sanctuary, we understand firsthand what it takes to properly shelter these animals. Wild animals deserve more and should not be made to suffer so circus owners may profit.

We welcome you to come to our 93-acre ranch in San Diego, California and witness how exotic animals should be treated and cared for. We are a no-kill, no-breed sanctuary that has taken in dozens of abused and neglected animals in similar situations to those in traveling circus’. Please feel free to call me for more information or to further support this very important piece of legislation at (619) 659-8078.

Sincerely,

Bobbi Brink, Founder
